R2 buyers are beginning to order Forest Green paint and the Coastal Cloud Signature interior, with owners on Rivian Forums and r/Rivian reporting successfully placed orders.
Rivian confirmed earlier this month that both options would become available later in August, with Borealis following sometime in September.
The rollout is not reaching every account at once. Some owners are seeing the new options live in their configurator on Rivian.com, while others are still waiting for them to appear.
Owners who have placed orders are reporting a current delivery estimate of 8 to 12 weeks.
All R2 models currently available are Performance trim with the Launch Package. No other trims or configurations are open for ordering yet.
Borealis remains on track for September.
Got my invite today. Picked coastal cloud and launch green. They have a spot saying “on the list” but didn’t give me a timeline.
Still says Forest Green isn’t available yet when I try to configure.
The forum post has been updated to indicate this is an “early access” situation and only certain people have been invited to order Coastal Cloud or Forest Green. So I guess its back to watching my email.
Same here. My window opened today. I tried to order Forest Green and Coastal interior and it came back telling me that it was not available. I was put on a wait list.
We’ve had our invite for a few weeks now, and were waiting for the coastal cloud interior. Now the problem is the color. We have a forest green R1S already, so that’s out. My wife is not interested in any of the other colors shown in the R2 configurator. Have you heard about any future available colors, preferably blues?
I was going to go with CC for mine, but I got an invite today, April 11 2026 reservation, and went for silver with 21s. Instantly got a VIN, 7320, which is awesome!
I ordered an R2 with Coastal Cloud interior this afternoon and paid the $400 deposit. There’s no indication of 8-12 weeks or any other timing provided.
Same. Found out on Reddit that someone ordered Coastal Cloud and sure enough, there was the email in my inbox. Can’t wait!
I had to start a new design config to place the CC interior order. So its placed finally!! 2+ yrs later. That saved design was dumb, it didnt work with CC int, so they need to step up their website after these major updates.
