Owners who have been waiting for Gen 2 R1T with Large batteries will be thrilled to know that we are starting to see these vehicles hit the R1 Shop. There are an extremely limited number of these vehicles currently on the R1 Shop and as a reminder, these are not real Large battery packs but software-locked Max packs.
As a friendly reminder, because these are software-locked Max packs internally labeled as Large+, you can safely charge your vehicle to 100% daily usage as confirmed by Rivian.
We reached out to Rivian to confirm that the new Large+ R1T does in fact support 11,000 lb of towing which is identical to the Max battery pack.
A friend of the site, RivianRoamer, has done a great job creating a tool that lets you find the Rivian you want easily.

I’m looking forward to the paid unlock option to be available for this and specifically my case to upgrade to the performance Plus dual motor through paid software
I really hope Rivian goes through with the paid upgrades because owners will love them!
