Rivian’s latest app update (2.20.0) brings some handy new features—but you’ll need vehicle software 2025.06 to use most of them. Now, you can open the charge port with a tap, track a loved one’s trip destination and ETA, and manage your tires in the app, including tracking mileage and setting rotation reminders. Rivian’s upcoming 2025.06 over-the-air update is bringing a small but useful new feature called Go Chime. If you’ve ever been at a stoplight, zoned out for a second (maybe on your phone), and didn’t realize the car in front of you had already moved, this feature has your back. Rivian is finally letting owners unlock more range—if they’re willing to pay for it. Wassym Bensaid, Rivian’s SVP of Software, confirmed today that Large+ battery packs (which are really just software-locked Max packs) will get a paid upgrade option later this year.
