Write a ReviewGreat 21" tire adding AT + 3Peak without too much efficiency hit
Like many R1T owners with 21" wheels, I considered swapping to 20" for broader tire selection or staying on 21" but going with Michelin Defender AS. Then I saw the Yokohama and it met my desire for better snow performance with at least moderate off road potential. Geolanders were installed in March 2026 in Massachusetts starting with cool late winter temps to hot summer now. Increase in tire noise is very modest. No snow driving yet, but fire roads and handling is good. Stability on highway is good with truck alone or pulling our 1500-2000 lb teardrop setup. Here is a comparison of efficiency seen:
Overall w/o trailer w/teardrop trailer
Pirelli Scorpion All Season 25,000 mi – 2.26 mi/kWh 19,814 mi – 2.48 mi/kWh 5186 mi – 1.70 mi/kWh
Yokohama Geolander A/T4 4485 mi – 2.24 mi/kWh 3845 mi – 2.39 mi/kWh 640 mi – 1.61 mi/kWh
I just did a 700 mi trip with the truck alone Boston-Phili and back in 80-90F temps. That netted 2.51 mi/kWh.
