Best ratings, price is right
The 2023 R1T had Pirellis when I bought it 12.25. Although the tires had some tread left, the truck pulled to the right – even after alignment. Since I didn't have the full history on the truck and the tires, I figured I might as well replace the tires. RivianRoamer led me to Riviantrackr and the tire guide. Hankook had the best ratings in all categores, and TireRack had the best price. Online purchase with TireRack was painless – as was a quick trip to the warehouse in DE to get the tires. Tires were mounted and balanced at a local shop that has touchless tire equipment and does road force balancing. Another alignment at the SC resulted in no more pulling to the right. The Hankooks have a better ride, are quieter, and have better road feel than the Pirellis. Haven't measured tread wear yet – only have about 3,500 miles since installed – time will tell. I'm very happy with the tires so far. As far as efficiency, that has more to do with operator use of the go pedal. A senior tech at the Gaithersburg SC told me the 2nd gen Pirellis are very good – but that RIV on the tires comes with a premium price.
