Wassym Shares Update On Google Cast And YouTube

Just a few hours after we published our article about the lack of Google Casting and YouTube communication from Rivian, Wassym Bensaid took to X to share some news about the technologies coming to Rivian vehicles.

We are in the final testing stages for Cast and Youtube. We want to get the right quality bar before we launch so that all our users enjoy a seamless and immersive audio/video experience. We will have a free trial for all Rivian customers before we add these features to Connect+.

Wassym was able to confirm they are in the final testing stages for Google Casting and YouTube which means we should see it before the end of 2024. It was also confirmed that there will be an additional trial for these features before they get added to Connect+.
