Rivian’s Tech Leader Wassym Bensaid to Share Insights at TechCrunch Disrupt 2024

Rivian’s Chief of Software, Wassym Bensaid, will speak at TechCrunch Disrupt 2024 about the challenges of building the technology that powers Rivian vehicles, including how they create both software and hardware from scratch.

Bensaid joined Rivian in 2019 and has been a key player in developing the company’s integrated software systems. He oversees the design of Rivian’s network architecture, security, data, battery management, and vehicle controls. Before Rivian, he worked in software and systems engineering at companies like NXP Semiconductors, Motorola, Freescale, and Intel, where he led research and development programs.

His work at Rivian has gained attention, even from Volkswagen Group, which recently agreed to invest $1 billion in Rivian as part of a software development deal that could grow to $5 billion.

TechnCrunch Disrupt 2024 will be held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco from October 28 to October 30, 2024.
