Rivian’s Southampton Charging Outpost Opens August 7 with Free Charging

Rivian is about to make Hamptons road trips a lot easier for EV owners. Starting August 7, their newest Charging Outpost opens in Southampton, New York, giving drivers a convenient place to charge up before heading out to Montauk or visiting local spots like the Parrish Art Museum.

The Outpost fits right in with the Hamptons vibe, set in a classic cedar shingle building on Montauk Highway with a laid-back, coastal feel. It has six fast chargers, including a trailer-friendly pull-through, and it’s open 24/7 to all EVs with CCS and NACS connectors.

While your vehicle charges, you can relax in the lounge with free coffee, check out Rivian gear and curated snacks (yes, even tinned fish), or let the kids enjoy the sandpit and reading nook with art by New York artist Danielle Kroll. It’s meant to be a spot you actually want to hang out in, not just wait around.

This will be Rivian’s 121st Adventure Network location and the 15th in the Northeast. To celebrate the opening, charging will be free from August 7 through August 10. Rivian will also have demo drives for anyone curious about their vehicles, plus local food vendors and events during the grand opening weekend.

You’ll find the new Outpost at 1 Montauk Highway, Southampton. Starting August 7, it’s one more reason to make your Hamptons getaway an EV trip.
