Rivian has released mobile app version 2.12.0 for iOS and Android bringing a few great new features and options to the already fantastic Rivian mobile app. Let’s dive in and see what mobile version 2.12.0 has and what’s new!
New Small Widgets
In version 2.6.0, Rivian introduced a widget that could be used on iOS and Android. In this new app version, Rivian has introduced 2 additional small widgets: one features vehicle controls, and one features the current vehicle state of charge/range.
The medium-sized widget that has been around for a while got some minor adjustments and now features an active charging indicator next to the state of charge/range.
View Reservations
Have an R1 or R2 reservation? Rivian now lets you see your active reservations in the mobile app. Plus now you get to see the Rivian R2 in adorable cell shading 🙂
Live Activities Updated
Before this update, when you plugged your Rivian in to charge or turned on the HVAC remotely, the live activity would only show up if you had the Rivian mobile app in the foreground. Rivian has now adjusted this so that the live activities now show up regardless of the mobile app status.
