Rivian Prepares to Launch True Large Battery Pack for Gen 2 Vehicles

Exciting news for Rivian fans! Rivian has officially confirmed that they are preparing to launch the true Large battery pack for Gen 2 vehicles. This comes after months of speculation surrounding the so-called “Large+” battery, which was essentially a software-locked Max battery pack.

As of today, RivianTrackr has confirmed that all vehicles featuring the Large+ battery pack have been removed from the R1 Shop. This move is paving the way for the release of the authentic Large battery pack, expected to arrive on the platform this month.

The new Large battery pack is estimated to provide an impressive 330 miles of range, making it an excellent middle-ground option for those who want a solid range without the heft of the Max battery. This launch is part of Rivian’s ongoing effort to offer greater flexibility and choice for drivers, catering to a wide variety of driving needs.

Stay tuned as we track the release of these new options in the R1 Shop!
