Rivian just dropped a new wheel option in the Gear Shop—the 22” Range Wheel and Tire Set—and if you’re all about maximizing efficiency, this might be worth a look.
For $4,035, you get a set of custom Pirelli Road tires designed for ultra-low rolling resistance, plus clip-in aero coversto cut down on drag. The result? Rivian says you’ll see around a 5% boost in range, making these their most efficient wheels yet.
They work with both Gen 1 and Gen 2 vehicles, and installation at a Rivian Service Center is included in the price.
So, is the 5% range bump worth the cost? That depends on how much you drive and whether every extra mile counts for you. But for efficiency-minded owners, this is about as good as it gets.
Along with the new wheel set, Rivian is now selling a 22” Range full-size spare for $1,185. It’s only compatible with the R1T and comes with a tire service kit included. If you want a proper spare instead of relying on sealant and a compressor, this might be a solid investment—especially for road-trippers and off-roaders who don’t want to take any chances.
