Rivian Makes Charging Free at Southern California Stations to Help Evacuees
With wildfires spreading across Southern California, Rivian is stepping up to help. They’ve made several Rivian Adventure Network (RAN) charging stations free to use, giving evacuees and travelers one less thing to stress about as they get out of harm’s way.
Here’s a list of the locations where charging is free for now:
- Joshua Tree, CA – Open to all EVs, not just Rivians
- San Bernardino, CA
- Barstow, CA
- Inyokern, CA
- Buttonwillow, CA
Why This Is a Big Deal
When you’re evacuating, especially in an EV, finding a reliable charging spot can be tough. Rivian’s move makes things a little easier, whether you’re heading to safety or helping others.
The Joshua Tree station being open to all EVs is a huge win for anyone with an electric vehicle—it’s not limited to Rivian owners. Plus, with RAN stations known for their fast charging speeds, you can get powered up and back on the road quickly.
