Rivian Discontinues Limestone and Red Canyon Colors for 2026 Models

Rivian is trimming its color palette for the 2026 model year, officially discontinuing Limestone and Red Canyon. These two shades now join Compass Yellow as retired colors, leaving a smaller, more streamlined selection.

The remaining colors are:

  • LA Silver
  • Glacier White
  • Forest Green
  • El Cap Granite
  • Midnight
  • Rivian Blue
  • Storm Blue (Tri-Motor and Quad-Motor only)
  • Launch Green (Quad-Motor only, limited edition)

Rivian has been phasing out less popular or more complex paint options to simplify production and cut costs. While fans of the earthy tones may be disappointed, this move is consistent with Rivian’s recent efforts to boost efficiency and focus on high-demand configurations.

  1. Happy we got a Limestone 2024 Gen1 R1T last year; I didn’t want the color. We got because my wife hated the green 🙂

  2. @jose, any idea what that means for team limestone if we need replacement parts down the road.

    Thanks!!

  3. So glad I got my Forest Green R1T with the Forest Edge interior before it got discontinued. Really hoping Rivian isn’t going the route of other manufacturers (e.g., black, white, six shades of gray, and maybe one color as the only options).

  4. Pretty disappointed in the “lack of choice” with the color palates moving forward. I thought “lack of choice” is what we’re missing in the EV market.
