Rivian shared its Q1 2025 production and delivery numbers, and everything’s on track. The company built 14,611 vehicles and delivered 8,640 between January and March. These numbers match what Rivian said to expect earlier this year.
For comparison, in Q1 2024, Rivian delivered 13,588 vehicles and produced 13,980. So while deliveries are down year-over-year, production is slightly up. That drop in deliveries was expected—Rivian is building up inventory ahead of big changes later this year, including the launch of the new R2 lineup.
Rivian still expects to deliver between 46,000 and 51,000 vehicles in 2025. That’s lower than last year’s target of 57,000, but 2024 included a planned factory shutdown that limited output.
The company will release full financial results for Q1 2025 on May 6 after markets close, followed by a webcast at 5:00 p.m. ET.
All in all, this quarter looks like Rivian keeping steady and getting ready for bigger things later in the year.
