Rivian Begins NACS Rollout on Adventure Network, More Sites Coming in 2025

Rivian is bringing native NACS charging to its Rivian Adventure Network, starting with a few key Outpost locations and expanding across the network through 2025.

Joshua Tree was the first to get the upgrade, with four CCS cabinets swapped to NACS last week. The Hamptons Outpost is next, and Yosemite is set to be converted later this summer. These will be the first Rivian-operated fast-charging sites to fully support NACS vehicles, marking a big step as Rivian and much of the industry make the switch away from CCS.

For the rest of 2025, Rivian will be upgrading live Adventure Network sites in key markets by adding NACS cables alongside CCS. This dual setup means drivers can use either connector, keeping the network flexible as more automakers adopt NACS as the standard.

You can always check charger status and availability in the Rivian app, and Rivian drivers can also see real-time charger info directly in the vehicle’s infotainment system.

This is just the start of Rivian’s wider NACS rollout, and by the end of the year, more of the network will be equipped to handle the transition for both Rivian owners and other EV drivers.
