Rivian Appoints Greg Revelle as Chief Customer Officer Ahead of R2 Launch

Rivian has appointed Greg Revelle as its new Chief Customer Officer, effective today. In this role, Revelle will oversee the entire customer journey, including sales, marketing, and operations, as Rivian prepares for its next phase of growth.

Revelle joins Rivian from Revatek, an energy storage startup he founded focused on off grid outdoor use. He also brings leadership experience from Kohl’s, Best Buy, AutoNation, and Expedia, and currently serves on the board of Cars.com.

The appointment comes as Rivian ramps up for the launch of R2, expected to hit the market in the first half of 2026. That same platform will also underpin future R3 models.

Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe said Revelle’s background across eCommerce, marketing, and automotive will be key as the company scales. Revelle added that he is excited to help bring R2 to market and further strengthen Rivian’s customer experience as the brand expands.

  1. I wouldn’t brag about Kohl’s, Best Buy, AutoNation, and Expedia given the abjectly awful customer experience of literally all of those companies.

  2. How will Rivian expand sales to meet their new job commitments made to the IL and GA made to obtain state money? Teslas are everywhere here in Las Vegas. No sign of Rivian, except for their distinctive Amazon delivery vans.

    • Given Rivian has built it’s HQ and assembly plants in GA, it’s highly likely they will meet their hiring goals there.
