Improved Rivian Key Fob with UWB Tech Coming for Gen 2

Rivian has unveiled a newly redesigned Key Fob for all 2025+ models, bringing functional and aesthetic upgrades. This Gen 2 Key Fob features improved button topography for easier use and a locking carabiner designed to secure the fob during outdoor adventures.

One significant addition is ultra-wideband (UWB) technology, which enhances the Key Fob’s precision and security. However, UWB integration makes this new fob incompatible with first-generation Rivian vehicles.

The updated Key Fob underscores Rivian’s commitment to refining the ownership experience while aligning with its adventurous ethos. With its thoughtful enhancements, it’s designed to be a more reliable and rugged companion for Rivian owners.

Availability details are expected soon.
