GoFastCampers (GFC) has released the first-ever camper and topper designed exclusively for the Rivian R1T. The topper adds secure cargo space and a camping setup that preserves the truck’s electric range and functionality.
Unique Design for the Rivian R1T
The GFC Platform Camper provides eight feet of internal height and a spacious 80×50-inch sleeping area, while the Platform Topper doubles the R1T’s secure cargo volume. Both options integrate seamlessly with Rivian’s features, including the sharkfin antenna, sensors, and tonneau cover.
“We made sure the design wouldn’t impact the range or performance of the R1T,” explains GFC’s Ian Sparkman. A pocket in the camper floor allows the antenna to remain functional, keeping aerodynamic performance in check.
Practicality Meets Adventure
Built from durable aluminum, the camper and topper are lightweight and strong, with up to 800 pounds roof capacities. The topper’s panels lift to form a shaded “cabana mode,” while the translucent roof keeps things cool. Testing shows the camper affects range by only 7-10%, and both options are quiet on the road.
Availability
The GFC Platform Camper starts at $9,450 and the Topper at $4,999, with installation available at GFC’s nationwide centers.
