New Lock Sound for the Day or Night

You now have the option to set the exterior lock sound to a bluebird chirp or an owl hoot. You can also set it to Day/Night, which alternates the lock sound between a bluebird chirp during daytime conditions and an owl hoot during nighttime conditions. Go to Settings > Vehicle > Access on the center display.

Driver Profile Enhancements

Your driver profile now links to your media streaming accounts, so when the vehicle recognizes your driver profile at the start of a drive, the vehicle automatically loads your media streaming accounts. Supported apps include Apple Music, Audible, Spotify, TIDAL, and TuneIn.

Your driver profile also saves your media, climate, driver assistance, and units of measurement settings. Climate settings include vent positions, vent presets, and Auto mode status.

Place AI Summaries from Google Maps in Navigation

With Connect+ on your Rivian vehicles, navigation now displays Google Gemini AI summaries for many places, from restaurants to national parks.

  1. Thanks for the fixes but, where is You Tube Music and You Tube Cast?
I subscribed to the online internet subscription because Rivian promise these features.

If I don’t don’ see it in the next update, I will cancel it and go back to use my phone a an Internet Provider in the Rivian.

  2. Rivian, please give us an option to turn on proximity sensors in Off Road all terrain. I get rock crawling but I think certain modes we should at least have the option to turn it on.

  3. I notice that the volume level control of the music whether it be on radio or apple music etc is very quiet on volume 1 but becomes too loud on volume 2. Is it possible to have lower the sound on volume 2?

  4. What monthly/annually charges will there be after Rivian’s trial period for things like navigation/Google Maps or any other subscription?

  5. Suggested adding the ability for driver to set auto turn on and off the cabin cooling or heating in the app, based on selected cabin high-end and low-end temperature range.

  6. Please move the current time to the drivers display so I dont have to look all the way across the vehicle to see what time it is. This is a safety feature.

  7. Please move the current time to the driver display so I dont have to look all the way across the cabin to see what the time is. This is a safety issue!

  8. Most of these updates are out of demand vanity items. I would prefer to get updates of real value: google cast, wearable vehicle access apps, enhanced remote access through the phone app and a new desktop/website app, etc. These minor updates are a distraction for software engineers who should be tasked with value updates instead of updates that wont sell cars. Imo.

  9. I’ve noticed that while the Oct update gave us temp controls on the rear display for the middle and rear rows, it seems the Nov update took them away again. Has anyone else noticed this? On our R1S gen 2, the rear display only offers one page again, without the ability to swipe pages or adjust the temps, see the wifi QR code, etc…
