Rivian owners traveling to Yosemite National Park are in for a treat with the opening of the first-ever Rivian Charging Outpost. Located in Groveland, California, Rivian took this old abandoned gas station and turned it into a beautiful new (and first of its kind) Charging Outpost with Rivian Adventure Network chargers and a place for EV owners to rest and refresh before hitting the road.
The Rivian Yosemite Charging Outpost is open to the public daily from 7 am to 7 pm, with 24-hour access to the Rivian Adventure Network. Inside you’ll find an experience similar to that of a Rivian space with a lounge area where guests can relax and read a book from the onsite library. You can also find Rivian merchandise and a “make your own” trail mix available for purchase along with a complimentary coffee and water bottle refill station.
In addition to this new Charging Outpost, Rivian recently opened a Rivian Adventure Network site in Lee Vining, California. Additionally, 58 Waypoint chargers were installed across 11 sites within the Yosemite Valley.
The Yosemite Charging Outpost is the first of many planned Charging Outposts across North America. Rivian says every Charging Outpost will be unique and inspired by the destinations near it.
