What’s Coming in Rivian Update 2025.10
The 2025.10 update is still in internal testing but should start rolling out in the coming weeks. It’s not a flashy release, but it brings a bunch of helpful improvements—especially for Gen 1 owners catching up on features Gen 2 already had. Here’s what’s new:
For Gen 1
- Smart Turn Signal
- Your turn signal now cancels automatically after you change lanes on the highway.
- Go Chime
- If you’re stopped and the car in front of you drives away, you’ll get a gentle chime to let you know. It’s on by default, but you can turn it off in settings.
For Gen 1 & Gen 2
- Gear Guard Upgrade
- Motion Cam now starts recording when it sees objects near your vehicle—not just people.
- Smoother Ride
- Less rocking when going over speed bumps, parking lot entrances, or uneven surfaces at low speeds.
- Music & Voice Upgrades
- Dual-streaming support for SiriusXM live sports
- Better scrolling for large Apple Music playlists
- Alexa can now launch SiriusXM channels by name or number
- Improved YouTube playback and media control.
- System Improvements
- Faster, more responsive infotainment
- Wi-Fi auto-recovers without a reset
- Rear screen clock updates properly
- Faster level 2 charging in freezing temps
- Critical tire pressure alerts now show
- Phone key and mirror position bugs fixed
- Reduced battery drain when key is left nearby
- Seatbelt reminders are less intrusive
- Powered tonneau (v2) opens more reliably (Gen 2 only)
- More accurate range estimates for Dual Standard when parked (Gen 2)
