Video – My Take on Rivian Autonomy and AI Day

Rivian has wrapped up its first ever Autonomy and AI Day and there was a lot to take in. Between new autonomy hardware, Autonomy+, hands free driving, and what this all means for Gen 1, Gen 2, and R2 vehicles, it was easily one of the most important events Rivian has hosted so far.
In the video below, I break down everything Rivian shared and give my honest take as a Rivian owner. I talk through what stood out, what actually matters for current owners, and where Rivian still needs to prove it can execute. Some of this was exciting, some of it raised questions, and some of it confirmed things we have been tracking for months.
If you own a Rivian or have an R2 on order, this is one of those updates that is worth paying attention to. Let me know what you think after watching, are you excited about Rivian’s autonomy direction or still waiting to see more real world results?

Thanx for the Jose video. A couple of comments:
– Would have loved if Gemini allowed users to address as “Hey Rivian” or as how we named our vehicles, “Hey Bluey”
– Like to see Lidar on R2 launch as a Service visit install when the R2 fall starts to come with Lidar
– Otherwise Gen3 will be Gen3 without Lidar and Gen3.5 with Lidar hardware
– Gen3 has 800 TOPS & 1,600 MP digestion, what does Gen2 have? Gen1?
When will my update be given to my Gen 2 R1s?
