The Rivian R2 Is Heading to Coachella 2026

Rivian is heading back to Coachella, and this time they’re bringing the R2 with them.

Both weekends of the festival, April 10-12 and 17-19, you can walk up and check out the R2 in person. If you’re going to Coachella and have been curious about the car, that’s a pretty easy way to get some time with it before deliveries even start.

The activation itself sounds pretty cool. There’s a listening lounge made from sustainable materials, some kind of celestial light display, meditative soundscapes, very on-brand for the desert festival vibe. The whole thing is powered by Rivian EVs.

Putting the R2 at Coachella makes a lot of sense. It’s a younger crowd, people who probably aren’t already deep in the EV enthusiast world, and getting them in and around the car in that kind of environment is going to stick a lot more than a showroom visit would.
