Rivian Updates March 12 Messaging to Tease “Full R2 Lineup” Reveal at SXSW

Rivian quietly updated its homepage and R2 website today, and while the countdown to March 12 is the obvious headline, the more interesting detail is a shift in how the company is describing what’s actually coming.

Where previous messaging focused on the reveal, Rivian is now inviting people to “meet the full lineup” on March 12. That’s a meaningful change in wording. It suggests the event won’t just be a deeper look at the Launch Edition Dual-Motor AWD that’s been the center of attention for the past several months. There could be more on the table.

What does “full lineup” mean exactly? That’s still an open question. It could mean additional configurations like a Tri-Motor or a performance-focused variant. It could also point to something like an R2X getting some formal stage time. Rivian hasn’t spelled it out, but they clearly want people to know this is bigger than a single model walkthrough.

With just seven days to go, we’ll find out soon enough.
