Rivian just dropped a teaser for something coming on February 19th, and it’s got the community buzzing. The teaser images and emails hint at sand dunes, with Rivian’s message reading:
“A mirage takes shape on Feb 19.”
The email image shows what looks like dunes seen through the R1T’s Gear Tunnel, which makes this even more intriguing. Is it a new desert-focused driving mode? A special sand-ready variant of the R1 lineup? Or maybe something entirely unexpected?
Whatever it is, Rivian fans won’t have to wait long. February 19th is just around the corner. Any guesses?

This is what I hope it is! I’d be much more excited to use my R2 reservation if that were the case. Two glove boxes AND a bed? Yes please!
