Rivian Sweetens Loyalty Deal for Gen 1 Owners: $3,500 Off Gen 2 Vehicles, No Trade-In Needed

Just a few days ago Rivian announced a Loyalty Offer for Gen 1 owners to upgrade to Gen 2 by offering an additional $3,500 off the cost of any Gen 2 vehicle (excludes Dual Standard) in the R1 Shop.

Today, Rivian has announced they have updated and removed some stipulations around the program including the need to trade in your Gen 1 vehicle. Beginning today, if you are a current Gen 1 owner, you will get an additional $3,500 off any eligible Gen 2 vehicle WITHOUT the need to trade in your Gen 1 vehicle. This is great for folks who want a Gen 2 added to their fleet without getting rid of their Gen 1 vehicle.

Rivian has continued to say that they plan to support Gen 1 vehicles via over-the-air software updates for many years to come so there’s no concern about feeling like your Gen 1 Rivian is obsolete.

Another fact of this offer update is that it allows owners to keep their Gen 1 Rivian vehicles for a longer period which goes alongside Rivian’s vision to be environmentally friendly and have owners keep vehicles for longer.
