Rivian R2 Software AMA With Wassym Bensaid Set for Thursday May 21

Rivian’s Chief Software Officer Wassym Bensaid is sitting down for a Reddit AMA this Thursday, May 21st, focused specifically on the R2 software platform. He’ll be live from the Palo Alto offices between 11:30am and 3pm PST, answering questions over on r/RivianR2 under his usual u/WassymRivian handle.

This is Wassym’s third AMA with the Rivian Reddit community, and the framing this time is pretty specific. The focus is on R2 software, including how the experience carries over what owners already know from R1 and what gets unlocked by the new hardware platform underneath R2.

This is a real chance to get answers on the things that aren’t in the press materials. Questions about Connect+ features on R2, how the autonomy stack scales between R1 and R2, what stays the same, what gets rebuilt, and how things like the in-cabin experience translate to a smaller and lower-priced vehicle.

If you’ve been holding onto a specific R2 software question, this is the window to ask it.
