Rivian R2 Is Coming to a City Near You. Here’s the Full Tour Schedule.

If you’ve been waiting to see the R2 in person, your chance is coming. Rivian just announced a cross-country R2 Block Party tour kicking off in Venice, California on April 3, with stops in seven cities through late May.

The events aren’t demo drives. Rivian is being upfront about that. But you’ll be able to get up close with the R2, check out the new colors in natural light, and sit inside to get a real feel for the interior. There’ll also be live music, local food, and interactive art, so it’s more of a community hangout than a traditional auto show setup, which honestly fits the Rivian vibe pretty well.

If you’re near any of these cities, you can RSVP at rivian.com/events/r2-block-party. Worth grabbing a spot early if you’re serious about going.

If the Block Party tour doesn’t come to you, the wait won’t be too much longer anyway. Demo vehicles are expected to start arriving at Rivian service centers and Rivian Spaces sometime in July, which means a lot more people will have a shot at seeing one up close before deliveries begin.

Seeing colors in photos and seeing them under actual sunlight are two very different things, and for a lot of people this will be the first time they can make that call for themselves. With deliveries still a ways out, events like this are basically the only way to get a real sense of whether the R2 is for you.
