Rivian Opens Southampton Charging Outpost With Family Events, Free Charging, and Hamptons-Inspired Design

Rivian’s newest Adventure Network location in Southampton, New York, is officially open, and our friend Ian stopped by the brand-new Rivian Space to check it out and snap some photos for us.
The outpost, located at 1 Montauk Highway, quietly blends into its surroundings with cedar shingles and a coastal design that fits right in with the Hamptons. Inside, it feels more like a boutique café than a charging station. There’s complimentary coffee from Hampton Coffee Company, shelves stocked with curated snacks (yes, even tinned fish), and a selection of Rivian gear for sale.

Out back, you’ll find six DC fast chargers available 24/7, including a pull-through bay for vehicles towing trailers. Both CCS and NACS connectors are supported, making it accessible for more than just Rivians. The site is powered entirely by renewable energy, continuing Rivian’s push for sustainable charging.
It’s also a space designed to hang out in, not just pass through. Families will appreciate the outdoor sandpit and the indoor reading nook decorated with colorful art by Danielle Kroll. During the opening weekend, Rivian offered free charging, demo drives, and pop-ups from local vendors to celebrate.

This location marks the 121st site in Rivian’s Adventure Network and the 15th in the Northeast. Whether you’re on your way out east or just looking for a new charging stop to explore, the Southampton outpost makes a pretty compelling case for slowing down and enjoying the charge.
