Rivian Opens Configurator for Non Launch Edition R1 Quad With Deliveries Starting Mid September

Rivian has opened the configurator for the new R1 Quad, now available outside of the Launch Edition. Just a couple of weeks after the Gen 2 Quad Launch Edition debuted, buyers can now spec out the non Launch Edition R1 Quad, which starts at $115,990 for the R1T and $121,990 for the R1S.

The Launch Edition still stands apart with some exclusive perks, including lifetime Rivian Autonomy Platform+ and Connect+ subscriptions, along with two specific builds: Launch Green with a Black Mountain interior or Storm Blue with a Slate Sky interior. The non Launch Edition skips the bundled subscriptions and exclusive color combos but offers a wider range of customization.

Standard paint comes in LA Silver, with optional upgrades to Glacier White, Forest Green, El Cap Granite, Midnight, Rivian Blue, or Storm Blue. Wheels are all included at no extra cost, with four choices: 22-inch Super Sport, 22-inch Sport Burnished Bronze, 20-inch Dune Satin Graphite, and 20-inch All-Terrain Dark. Inside, the standard setup is Black Mountain with Brown Ash Wood trim, with optional upgrades to Ocean Coast with Driftwood or Slate Sky with Walnut Wood. The Darkout package is included as standard.

Currently, no R1 Quad variants are listed in the R1 Shop. Orders must be placed through the configurator with a $3,000 deposit. Estimated delivery is 8 to 12 weeks, which puts first deliveries between mid-September and mid-October 2025.
