Rivian Hosts Test Drives and Art Exhibition at Edith Farnsworth House in Illinois

Rivian is hosting a pretty special event at the Edith Farnsworth House in Plano, Illinois on Saturday, September 6, 2025. From 12 pm to 6 pm, you’ll get a mix of test drives, architecture, art, and community all in one place.

Demo drives will be running from 12 to 4 pm, and after your drive you’ll also get a free tour of the famous Mies van der Rohe designed house and grounds.

Later in the afternoon, Rivian is hosting a reception followed by the opening of photographer Tom Rossiter’s new exhibition, INHABIT: Edith Farnsworth House and Environs in Four Seasons. Rossiter will be there to talk about the project, answer questions, and share how his own R1S helped him capture the stunning images throughout the year.

Here’s the schedule for the day:

• 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm: R1T and R1S demo drives
• 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm: House and grounds tours
• 3:15 pm – 4:00 pm: Reception with Rivian
• 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Artist talk + Q&A with Tom Rossiter

If you already own a Rivian, you’re welcome to bring your R1T or R1S and join in for the reception and exhibition opening. Parking will be at the Visitor Center lot (14520 River Rd, Gate 1, Plano, IL 60545).
