Rivian Connect+ Free 60-Day Trial Brings Rivian Assistant to All Owners

Rivian just opened up a 60-day free trial of Connect+ to all owners, and the part worth paying attention to is that it’s your way into Rivian Assistant without spending anything for two months.
The only thing you need to do is update to 2026.15. Once your truck or SUV is on that build, the trial just turns on and Assistant is there waiting for you.
I spent some time with it and put together a video review if you want to see how it actually handles before you make up your mind about paying for it later.
What stands out to me is that Rivian is letting people try the feature instead of just describing it in a release and hoping owners take their word for it. Sixty days is enough runway to actually fold it into how you use the vehicle day to day, not just mess around with it for an afternoon and forget about it. That matters because Assistant is one of those things that either earns a spot in your routine or it doesn’t, and you really can’t tell from a spec sheet.
After the trial wraps, Connect+ is $14.99 a month, or $149.99 for the year if you’d rather pay once and not think about it.
Whether it’s worth keeping is going to come down to how much you lean on Assistant during those two months. Some owners are going to find it indispensable and some are going to let the trial lapse without a second thought, and honestly both reactions are fair. Give it a real shot while it’s free and you’ll know which camp you land in by the time the bill would kick in.

Perfect timing, I just cancelled my truck’s Starlink thanks to their rising cost.
I have been using the RA more and more and impressed by it. You’re not going to run python code for some data analysis, but between the car functions and general quality of life, it’s been helpful. News, movie times, weather, even equity market updates, it’s cool. The lag could be better but it’s not much slower than Gemini or Claude.
What if you already have a subscription? Do they extend it for 2 months?
They do not
