Rivian Community Launches Holiday Donation Campaign Backed by Gear Shop Rewards

Sapan Dhora, who runs the Rivian Owners North America Facebook group, has officially launched this year’s holiday donation drive, and it’s already shaping up to be another strong showing from the Rivian community.

Last year, the group raised over $77,000 in donations for charities across the country. This year’s effort builds on that momentum with a donation based contest designed to encourage giving while also rewarding participants.

The contest runs now through December 15 and is open to donations made to any registered 501c organization. Every $1 donated counts as one entry, so a $50 donation equals 50 entries.

To help incentivize participation, Sapan is giving away over $900 worth of Rivian Gear Shop items. All of the prizes are being funded entirely through his personal Rivian Rewards, which he chose to use for this effort instead of for himself. At least 10 percent of all entrants will win, meaning if 300 people enter, 30 winners will be selected.

Winners will be able to choose from a pre selected list of Gear Shop items, which will be shipped directly to them once an address is provided. Due to a lower rewards balance this year, the prize structure has been slightly modified compared to last year.

Entering is straightforward. Participants need to post a photo of their donation that clearly shows a date or timestamp between now and December 15. Along with the photo, entrants must comment with their name and donation amount.

After December 15, winners will be announced. Each winner will have 24 hours to claim their prize before it moves on to the next person.

This initiative is another reminder of what makes the Rivian owner community special. It’s not just about vehicles, it’s about using a shared platform to make a real impact during the season of giving.
