New Rivian merch includes scale R1T model, fleece jacket, flannel, and tonneau cover
Rivian just dropped some new gear in the official Gear Shop, from collectibles to apparel and even an updated truck accessory. The standout is the 1:20 scale Rivian R1T die-cast model ($75), complete with opening doors, frunk, gear tunnel, and detailed interior. It comes in Forest Green or Glacier White.
On the apparel side, there are new Crew Socks ($15, organic cotton in Black or Grey), a Full-Zip Fleece Jacket ($90, recycled fleece in Black), and a Flannel Shirt ($90, organic cotton in Night Blue).
For R1T owners, Rivian also released a new Powered Tonneau Cover ($3,300) that’s water-resistant, quiet, and rolls open in seconds (as opposed to the old version that would stack). Installation is included, and it’s available for both Gen 1 and Gen 2 trucks.
All items are available now on the Rivian Gear Shop, and referral points can be used toward purchases.
I called Rivian as soon as I read this about the powered tonneau cover for my 2022 R1T Launch Edition (VIN 14k).
I bought it as a demo vehicle, with the guide saying the PTC will be in the Gear Shop “one day”.
The representative on the phone said my vehicle is ineligible for one. Bummer. $3.3k is expensive, but I would have done it in a heartbeat…
Did they say why you’re ineligible?
Just spoke with Rivian about getting the powered tonneau on my Gen 1 R1T (VIN 26k) and turns out it’s compatible! They’re scheduling out about 6-ish weeks in my area but I was just happy to hear I can make it happen after two years of waiting.
Just be warned – they were completely unprepared for the question. Had no idea it was even on the gear shop and sat on hold for quite a bit of time while they asked around. Not a huge deal for me but was a little surprising.
Also – 100% bought the die-cast model in both colors. No regrets.
I think there’s going to be a lot of back and forth because one hand doesn’t talk to the other.
Gen 1 owner who took delivery with the version 1 tonneau cover disabled. Waited a year for the fixed one. Works alright but is super loud and clunky. Would love to see an offer to discount this cover for those that had such issues in the past.
