The mobile app now reliably updates your current drive mode again, and a few uncommon fast-charging failures have been addressed. Rivian also resolved an issue affecting the charge port indicator and the in-vehicle charging status display, so everything should report accurately moving forward.

This update adds Plug & Charge support for Electrify America and IONNA chargers, new climate features like Climate Hold and Auto Cabin Ventilation, and improvements to the app launcher and camping mode. Gen 2 owners will also see better tap-to-unlock performance. It’s a solid quality-of-life update focused on everyday usability and comfort.

Rivian’s 2025.34 update brings useful upgrades for both Gen 1 and Gen 2 vehicles, including Smart Charging Schedule Recommendation that automatically shifts home charging to off-peak hours for cheaper and cleaner energy with savings of 20 percent or more, enhanced audio settings with new custom equalizer slots, and a range of performance refinements for smoother navigation, more accurate range estimates, and better app responsiveness. Gen 2 owners also gain Enhanced Highway Assist with the new Co-Steer feature for adjusting lane position without disengaging, broader availability on urban and suburban highways, and a new Rivian Digital Key that works with Apple, Google, and Samsung devices for seamless access and sharing.

Rivian’s latest update boosts steering in Sport and Off-Road modes, improves Driver Assistance on Gen 2, and delivers smoother Navigation, Alexa with YouTube, and climate control tweaks. Fixes include Apple Music logins, Gear Guard video, and trip efficiency readings. Battery conditioning is more available at low charge, plus a new option to restart the vehicle from Settings.
