Rivian’s 2025.06 Update Will Let R1 Owners Unlock Dual-Motor Performance Upgrade
Rivian is rolling out a big update for R1 Dual-Motor owners in the 2025.06 OTA. You’ll soon be able to upgrade to Dual-Motor Performance directly from your center screen. No service center visit required, just an over-the-air software unlock. This upgrade boosts 0-60 mph to 3.4 seconds. Horsepower jumps to 665 hp, and torque increases to 829 lb-ft. Update: Rivian has reached out to confirm that the drawer IS NOT compatible with Gen 1 vehicles. No reason was given as to why not.
