Rivian To Receive $827M In Funding From State Of Ilinois
The State of Illinois announced today that it will provide Rivian with an incentive package of $827M. Amazon recently announced that it now has over 13,500 Rivian Electric Delivery Vans (EDV) on the road delivering packages to many cities across the United States. If you haven’t received a notification, log in to the Rivian Gear Shop using your official Rivian account and check your Account History. If you don’t see anything yet, don’t fret, keep an eye out in the coming weeks for an email confirming your shipping address to get your official adapter.
Rivian Outpaces BMW, Mercedes, and More to Claim 5th Spot in U.S. EV Market
CNBC reported that Rivian is now the 5th in Electric Vehicle market share in the United States beating out BMW, Mercedes Benz, Chevrolet, Audi, and many more. Rivian joins General Motors, Ford, Hyundai/Kia, and Tesla. On April 2nd, I shared that Rivian had announced Q1 2024 deliveries. Rivian delivered 13,588 vehicles in Q1 2024 and produced a total of 13,980. Rivian guidance for 2024 is 57,000 vehicles.
