Rivian recently updated their Canadian website to reflect pricing for the Rivian R2 which is planned to be released in 2026. The starting price in Canada will be CAD 66,500 or about $48,458 USD (as of the writing of this article) which is a few thousand above the US starting price of $45,000. The California New Car Dealers Association reported that Rivian registrations were up 77% year-to-date compared to the same time in 2023 while Tesla registrations fell 17% in the same period.
