Rivian on Track to Meet 2024 Vehicle Delivery Target with Strong September Sales

For August 2024, Rivian sold 5,133 vehicles and in July 2024 Rivian sold 4,904 vehicles according to Motor Intelligence. To date, Rivian has sold 42,610 vehicles. If Rivian can manage to sell at least 4,797 vehicles per month for the last 3 months, they’ll be able to meet their projected commitment of 57,000 vehicles delivered.

Motor Intelligence, the world’s leading provider of vehicle sales and leasing data for the United States market, shared these numbers on Tuesday.

In July, Rivian shared their Q2 earnings and revealed that 9,612 vehicles were produced and 13,790 vehicles were delivered. It’s important to note that during Q2 2024, Rivian shut down their factory in Normal, IL to retool the R1 line.

As of the end of Q2, Rivian has produced 23,592 vehicles and delivered 27,378 vehicles. CEO RJ Scaringe during the Q2 earnings call once again reaffirmed the commitment to 57,000 vehicles projected for 2024.

Rivian is expected to announce Q3 produced and delivered numbers this week.
