Rivian Delivers 10,661 Vehicles in Q2 2025, Prepares for 2026 Model Launch

Rivian has announced its Q2 2025 production and delivery numbers, confirming it built 5,979 vehicles and delivered 10,661 between April and June. The lower production volume was expected, as Rivian intentionally slowed output to prepare for the upcoming 2026 model year launch later this month.

Despite the temporary dip, Rivian reaffirmed its full-year 2025 delivery guidance of 40,000 to 46,000 vehicles.

In Q1 2025, Rivian produced 14,611 vehicles and delivered 8,640, right in line with previous guidance. That brings total deliveries for the first half of 2025 to 19,301 vehicles.

To meet its full-year goal, Rivian will need to deliver between 20,699 and 26,699 vehicles across Q3 and Q4. That means an average of about 10,350 deliveries per quarter to hit the low end of guidance, or around 13,350 per quarter to reach the high end.

Helping fuel Rivian’s next phase is a $1 billion equity investment from Volkswagen Group, finalized on June 30. The investment was priced at $19.42 per share, a 33% premium over Rivian’s 30-day volume-weighted average stock price of $14.56. It’s part of a broader $5.8 billion joint venture focused on next-generation EV technology.

Rivian will release its Q2 financial results on August 5 after markets close.
