Michelin Defender LTX Platinum (275/65R20)

Replaced AT Pirelli tires with a set of LTX Platinum back in December. I wanted something that could handle the car fully loaded with people or if I was hauling a lot of weight. I was also hoping to get better mi/KwH but hasn't materialized. Over 6 mo time, I am seeing just under a 2.0 mi/KwH average which is worse than my 2.2 mi/KwH before the the swap. I've driven all over NE with this new set and they drive well in all conditions – snow, ice, wet, and dry. They're also incredibly quiet, which I appreciate. They also keep th e rugged look, a positive in my book. Would definitely puchase again.

This is an excellent tracking highway tire. Smooth on the freeway. You can feel the weight at low speed acceleration/regen. I have 1500 miles on the tire through wet PNW winter – traction has been excellent. I can force all four to spin on an on ramp when I floor it in my quad, but I won't fault the tires for that.

Love this tire. Getting about 2.3 mi/kwh on average (over the last ~30k miles) with 95% mountain highway driving. Quite impressed with the snow and rain performance so far. The factory Pirelli all-terrains aren't incredible in the snow, but I'm happy to report that these don't (subjectively, obviously) feel any worse than those. Michelin's promise that these will stay quiet as they wear has largely held true for me with proper rotations (between 5k – 6k miles). As you would expect, different types of asphalt/concrete are louder than others, but on most surfaces, tire noise is minimal. Would definitely recommend!
