Rivian Owners Face Frustrations as Connect+ Trial Ends Amid AT&T Outages (U)

Update: As of 11:55 AM, AT&T services have been restored and users are reporting that services are working again.

Today marks the end of the initial Connect+ trial and the beginning of paid service, if you decide that it is worth the money and keep it. Immediately this morning, many Rivian owners reached out to RivianTrackr to share their frustration as they would get charged for Connect+ but saw that many of the features associated with the subscription were no longer working. Many reports are also coming in about AT&T outages on the East Coast. If you didn’t know, Rivian utilizes AT&T to connect their vehicles to the internet.

We reached out to Rivian to see what information they could share and they informed us they are actively working with AT&T to resolve the ongoing issues. It seems that whatever issues Connect+ subscribers are having is unrelated to Rivian but to the AT&T outage.

If you continue to experience issues with your Connect+ subscription, I suggest you try to do a soft reset on your Rivian to see if that helps as many owners have reported that resolves any connectivity issues.
