PHOTOS – New Gen 2 R1T Quad Surfaces with Ultra Performance Wheels and Mystery Green Paint

Rivian’s Gen 2 Quad is getting closer, and thanks to our friends at Out of Spec, we just got a sneak peek straight from inside the factory.

While touring Rivian’s Normal, Illinois plant today, they spotted a new R1T deep in production—and it wasn’t just any R1T. This one was rocking the exclusive 22” Ultra Performance wheels and the telltale Gear Guard badge, both clear indicators that we’re looking at the upcoming Quad-Motor variant.

Interestingly, the truck appears to be finished in a color that looks very close to Launch Green. It might actually be Launch Green making a comeback, or it could be a slightly darker shade—it’s tough to tell from the lighting and angles in the photos. Either way, it’s a notable shift from the current color lineup.

Between the visual clues and the fact that Rivian is actively assembling these in the factory, it’s safe to say the Gen 2 Quad R1T is nearly here. Expect to see them on the streets very soon.
