Rivian Officially Opens Commercial Van Sales to Fleets of All Sizes

Rivian has officially opened orders for its Commercial Van to fleets of all sizes, confirming what we reported last week. Businesses can now order the Delivery 500 or 700. Riviain has also confirmed there is no minimum required so you can order as little as 1 Commercial Van or 1,000 Commercial Vans.
Until recently, these vans were exclusive to Amazon, but with that deal now over, Rivian can begin offering them to other companies.
The Commercial Van is built with safety, efficiency, and lower ownership costs in mind. It comes with automatic emergency braking, collision warnings, and 360-degree visibility. Rivian’s software controls everything from vehicle access to charging, aiming to streamline operations and reduce costs.
Performance-wise, the vans have a payload capacity of up to 2,663 lbs and a GVWR of 9,500 lbs. The Delivery 500 has an estimated 161 miles of range, while the 700 comes in at 160 miles, up from 153 miles initially reported.
Amazon has already put these vans to work, with more than 20,000 in its fleet, delivering over a billion packages in 2024 alone. Now, Rivian is ready to expand beyond Amazon, offering businesses a new option in the commercial EV space.
