I monitored the AMA live and compiled notes (in no specific order) of what Wassym shared. Some of these details have been already known while some are brand new. Rivian Layoffs Small Number of Salaried Positions

Rivian today announced that it had eliminated a small number of salaried positions, representing less than 1% of total employees. In April, Rivian increased its manufacturing efficiency enabling them to build the same number of vehicles as 2023 but with 2 shifts instead of 3. The majority of employees affected are a result of that move. Rivian did confirm no hourly employees were impacted by today’s layoff.
